This bread is laden with large chunks of organic dried mission figs and a warm hint of fennel permeating the crumb. It’s a delectable experience tearing a chunk open to find a piece of fig, like a buried treasure. You’ll smell the fennel but its taste is not overpowering. A perfect balance.

This bread is best enjoyed unadorned, with nothing but a spread of cultured butter or a couple of thin slices of prosciutto. A glass of cool chardonnay might be a nice accompaniment.
